The Global Impact Film Festival (GIDC), brought to you by DCBX, is a dynamic independent film festival in Washington, D.C. that focuses on empowering lives by celebrating the power of media for social justice. They showcase documentary and narrative short films that provoke and inspire social change.

GIDC is a group of digital media professionals, socially-minded filmmakers, philanthropists, change makers and social entrepreneurs. The goal is to bring like-minded individuals together to bring awareness on several social justice issues by showcasing short narrative and documentary works and creating change by inviting non-profit organizations that correlate with some of the major topics of the films.
By  showcasing short documentary and narrative films that provoke and inspire social change, the aim is to bring together people of different cultures and backgrounds in one place for the celebration of life, culture and diversity through the official selections of films.
